The Krishnamurti Centre

Krisnamurti Centre

"if you assert and I assert, if you stick to your opinion, to your dogma, to your knowledge, and I stick to mine, then there can be no real discussion, because neither of us is free to inquire. To discuss is not to share our experiences with each other. There is no sharing at all: there is only the beauty of truth, which neither you nor I can possess. It is simply there."

J. Krishnamurti

Is love pleasure?

Friday, 28th August 2020 - Monday, 31st August 2020

Krishnamurti clearly states that love is not pleasure, desire or fulfilment. Being educated and influenced to uphold love as the most powerful thing to look for in life, do we even know what love may be? Social media, cultural structures and religions all purport to know what love is and advise human beings on how to live it and what to do to get it. Through Krishnamurti’s insights, participants will have the opportunity to question and reflect about their own concepts of love.
