The Krishnamurti Centre

Krisnamurti Centre

"if you assert and I assert, if you stick to your opinion, to your dogma, to your knowledge, and I stick to mine, then there can be no real discussion, because neither of us is free to inquire. To discuss is not to share our experiences with each other. There is no sharing at all: there is only the beauty of truth, which neither you nor I can possess. It is simply there."

J. Krishnamurti

Loneliness - Dialogue retreat

Friday, 15th November 2019 - Wednesday, 20th November 2019

We live in lonely times. The elderly are lonely. Teens are lonely. People are lonely in cities and in rural areas, and it's now considered a public-health issue (one with real, physical health effects). On the other hand, Krishnamurti said, 'We are the result of a thousand influences, a thousand conditionings, psychological inheritances, propaganda, culture.' During this five-day retreat, participants will have the opportunity to reflect together on what we mean by loneliness.

This retreat intends to be an immersion in dialogue, exploring participants' questions and concerns around the topic proposed, while trying to create an open and free space where everyone feels involved and moving together.
