The Krishnamurti Centre

Krisnamurti Centre

"if you assert and I assert, if you stick to your opinion, to your dogma, to your knowledge, and I stick to mine, then there can be no real discussion, because neither of us is free to inquire. To discuss is not to share our experiences with each other. There is no sharing at all: there is only the beauty of truth, which neither you nor I can possess. It is simply there."

J. Krishnamurti

Please note: Due to the 50th anniversary of Brockwood Park School and its Alumni Reunion,
the Centre will not be open for day visitors from the 14th to the 19th August.

The pursuit of hapiness

Friday, 4th October 2019 - Sunday, 6th October 2019

What is hapiness? What makes us happy? Krishnamurti said, 'Some will say hapiness consists in getting what you want. You want a car, and you get it, and you are happy'. But is hapiness the product of things that may happen or we can obtain? In a culture dominated by consumerism, reinforced by social media and the rapid development of technology, where is hapinees to be found? As Krishnamurti sai, 'Hapiness is not a thing to be pursued; it comes.'
